Welcome to Hill Academy
The Hill Academy of Dance and Performing Arts is the premier school of its kind in the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows/Coquitlam area offering a wide variety of training including several varieties of dance as well as acting and singing.
Our faculty is second to none and have all completed rigorous and ongoing training and certification. Our expertise far exceeds that of our competition and we are excited to share our training with you and your children.
Mission Statement:
At Hill Academy we strive to maintain an educational environment in which a young dancer is able to work in a safe atmosphere while taking part in fun and creative lessons.
Vision Statement:
Young children love to move, be it at play or when listening to music. Dance can be a way of life to help a child develop physically, mentally, emotionally and socially from an early age through to adulthood. Children are able to develop the basic foundations of life in their early years through dancing, acting and singing especially at Hill Academy. Our students are encouraged to enjoy themselves and in doing so develop their own personalities, confidence, become well co-ordinated young people, and have respect for others.
As children grow older, dance may continue to be a hobby for some or possibly a future career choice for others. Dance gives young people the chance to experience the thrill of performance and the satisfaction of progressing and gaining qualifications with professional and international bodies, such as I.S.T.D. , Cechetti, and ASFA. We believe that attending dancing isn’t all about exams and competitions.
